DOP की फुल फॉर्म “Director Of Photography” है। संक्षिप्त में इसको DP भी कहा जाता है। DOP को सिनेमेटोग्राफर भी कहते हैं। फिल्म-निर्माण के क्षेत्र में प्रोडक्शन डिपार्टमेंट में कैमरा और लाइटिंग के हेड को DOP यानि कि डायरेक्टर ऑफ़ फोटोग्राफी कहा जाता है।

DOP को “Department of Post” भी कहा जाता है जिसको हिंदी में “डाक विभाग” कहते हैं, जो कि भारत में सरकार द्वारा संचालित डाक प्रणाली है।

DOP द्वारा फिल्म निर्माण के चरण

फिल्म का निर्माण मुख्यतः तीन चरणों में होता है जो निम्न प्रकार हैं:

1. Pre-Production

फिल्म की शुरुआत अर्थात शूटिंग से पहले किये जाने वाले कार्य जैसे कि film-making equipment, script writing इत्यादि Pre-Production के अंतर्गत आते हैं।

2. Production

Production के अंतर्गत फिल्म की शूटिंग जैसे महत्वपूर्ण कार्य आते हैं जिसमे DOP की अहम भूमिका होती है।

3. Post-Production

Post-Production के अंतर्गत पूरी हो चुकी फिल्म की शूटिंग की editing की जाती है, जैसे कि VFX का इस्तेमाल करना।

DOP के कार्य

DOP के मुख्य कार्य निम्नलिखित हैं:

  • Director के साथ co-ordinate करना
  • शूटिंग के दौरान लाइटिंग को देखना
  • scene के हिसाब से लेंस का चुनाव करना।
  • सिनेमेटोग्राफी

DOP (Director Of Photography) कैसे बनें?

DOP (Director Of Photography) बनने के लिए आपको फिल्म निर्माण से सम्बंधित सभी आवश्यक चीज़ों का ज्ञान होना आवश्यक है। जैसे कि आपको कैमरा और लाइट का टेक्निकल नॉलेज होना जरूरी है और इसके अलावा स्क्रीनप्ले को समझना , फिल्म निर्देशक के विजन को समझना इत्यादि। इसके साथ कैमरा एंगल, कैमरा शॉट, बेसिक वीडियो एडिटिंग, साउंड की जानकारी भी जरूरी है। इसके लिए आपको Camera and Lighting या फिर सिनेमेटोग्राफी कोर्स करने की जरूरत होगी। सिनेमेटोग्राफी कोर्स करने के बाद आप Cinematography में इंटर्नशिप करें।

सिनेमेटोग्राफी कोर्स के लिए योग्यता और फीस | Qualification for DOP

सिनेमेटोग्राफी कोर्स के लिए आपका किसी भी stream से 12वीं पास होना आवश्यक है।

  • Certificate Course:

अवधि: 3 से 6 माह
फीस: 40 से 70 हजार

  • Diploma Course:

अवधि: 1 साल
फीस: 60 हजार से 1 लाख

  • Bachelor Course:

अवधि: 3 साल
फीस: 80 हजार से 1.20 लाख प्रति वर्ष
